There are always those times you just want a yummy, salty, crunchy snack, right? I can’t wait to tell you about THE most delicious paleo snacks out there! There are some potato chips that are Paleo friendly (like those fried in coconut oil, avocado oil, or olive oil), but the debate is still out there on whether or not people want to eat potatoes on the Paleo diet… So what is a good, healthy alternative to potato chips?
The entire line of Artisan Tropic strips are incredible. Their line of products are created from two different tuber vegetables: plantains and cassava. I already love both, so I knew I would love their strips!
All Artisan Tropics Products contain just three ingredients or less, all of which are good for you! They don’t have any preservatives, additives, or artificial flavors. Their list of certifications is impressive! They are certified Paleo (which I love because this is a foundation I trust and believe in!), Gluten Free Certified, Non-GMO Project Certified, and are naturally vegan as well.
Your typical potato chips (even the healthier versions mentioned above) are still made of potatoes… These strips are perfect those Paleo diet followers who don’t eat potatoes! Those who are following the Autoimmune Paleo Diet that doesn’t eat nightshades can safely eat these chips! Nightshades are a group of vegetables and fruits with inflammatory properties, which is why some with autoimmune diseases and other health issues choose to avoid them entirely. Vegetables include: tomatoes, tomatillos, potatoes (though not sweet potatoes), eggplant, chilis, most peppers (banana, habanero, jalapeño, bell, sweet, chili, cayenne, Thai, and wax) and paprika. Fruits include: goji berries, gooseberries, and Jerusalem cherries.
My honest opinion: these strips are AMAZING. We got an entire box, and they were gone faster than I’d like to admit! 😉 We love them on their own or with our favorite dips!

I also love about Artisan Tropic that they’re a family company… Their youngest daughter was struggling with an undeterminable health condition. Once they sought out naturopathic medicine and changed her diet, she was healed! Now they’re committed to making products that align with their family values and health goals.
