Plastic is everywhere. It means it’s even in places you never thought about (like in the clothes you’re wearing right now!). Microplastics are in our oceans. They’re in the water we drink. It’s everywhere! Unfortunately, plastic is non-biodegradable so it will be here with us for thousands of years. Therefore, plastic is a huge problem.

Admittedly, using less plastic is probably the hardest thing that our family has to deal with. It’s so hard to get down to very minimal plastic usage. In today’s episode, we’re joined by Morgan Cook of Mostly Eco Morgan as she talks about what you need to know about sustainable living and how to use less plastic.

Morgan started out by studying fashion in New York City and ended up learning a ton about the environmental and ethical issues within the fashion industry. So she became really conflicted about her dream of pursuing fashion and eventually decided to launch her blog Mostly Eco Morgan.

In this episode, you will hear:

  • Eliminating single-use plastic in your life
  • Ways to reduce plastic when doing groceries
  • What sustainable living means to her
  • What we can do as individuals to reduce the impact of climate change
  • Growing your own food
  • Practicing thrifting, renting, and borrowing
